Guava is an American fruit plant from the
Pre-colombian period. In the Amazon it is
one of the most familiar fruits and can be
found almost anywhere, due to birds and animals which disperse the seeds. It is a hard plant
and can be cultivated in subtropical regions
too.
Uses
The pulp can be used in the preparation of
juice, ice cream, wine, liqueur or sweets.
